Company Description
EL Alameya For Car Plastics (Auto Plast) is a manufacturer of plastic corrugated boxes, sheets, partitions, customized packaging solutions, and trading of ESD related products and auto feeders parts. The company's major customers are from electronic firms, automotive firms, and signage industries. EL Alameya For Car Plastics (Auto Plast) is located in 10th of Ramadan.
 
At Auto Plast, we are looking for a Cost Accounting Section Head who will be a key member of our accounting and finance team. The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for all aspects of cost accounting, including product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing overhead. This position will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and will also interface with other departments within the company, such as engineering, sales, and production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the development and implementation of cost accounting policies, procedures, and systems
Manage the month-end close process for assigned projects, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management reports, forecasts, budgets, and ad hoc analyses
Analyze variances to budget and forecast, and prepare explanations for senior management
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of reporting
Train and develop staff on cost accounting concepts and principles
Supervise and review the work of junior staff members
Serve as a business partner to other departments, providing decision support and financial analysis
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in cost accounting and related technology
Assist in the development and maintenance of the company’s activity-based costing system
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
 
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  Ten years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and management
Expertise in developing and implementing cost accounting systems
Strong proficiency with financial reporting and accounting
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software
Proven leadership and project management skills
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Experience in manufacturing or other production-oriented environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
fluent in English both oral and written
