currently seeking a talented and ready to learn individual to join our Translation ProjectWe wwWw Management/Coordination Team. This role requires proficiency in English, excellent computer and internet skills, and the ability to communicate effectively via various online platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing translation projects, coordinating with clients and vendors, ensuring smooth workflow between team members, and maintaining high translation quality standards. This position offers a hybrid work model with the flexibility to work from both office and home environments, including night shifts from home.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Coordinate translation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
2. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, communicating project requirements, providing updates, and addressing inquiries promptly.
3. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively, including services and communication provided by translators and editors, to ensure timely delivery of projects.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of translated materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client specifications.
5. Computer Skills: Utilize computer software and internet platforms proficiently, including MS Word, email, and social media channels, to facilitate communication and project management. This position will also include learning and working in translation management systems such as Trados and design systems such as InDesign.
6. Hybrid Work Model: Work with flexibility in both office and home environments, adapting to the needs of the team and project requirements.
7. Shift Flexibility: Be available for morning and night shifts as required, with night shifts exclusively from home.
Job Requirements:
1. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is essential. Proficiency in additional languages is a benefit but is not required.
2. Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, email, internet usage, and social media communication. Willingness to learn and adapt to additional programs and systems.
3. Communication Abilities: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and external agencies/vendors.
4. Client Interaction: Ability to engage with clients and external agencies to obtain new projects and maintain positive relationships.
5. Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model and flexible shift schedules, including night shifts from home.
7. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in translation, project management, or client communication roles is advantageous.
- Proficiency in translation software and tools (e.g., CAT tools like SDL Trados, memoQ, or Memsource) is preferred but not mandatory..
