Job Summary
The System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT systems and infrastructure. They ensure the systems operate efficiently and securely, provide technical support to users, and troubleshoot system and network issues.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software applications
Monitor system performance to ensure system reliability and efficiency
Apply updates, patches, and firmware upgrades as required

Network Management
Manage and maintain the organization's LAN, WAN, and other network systems
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues
Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls

Security and Compliance
Implement and manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure
Monitor and respond to security alerts and vulnerabilities
Maintain compliance with IT policies and standards

Backup and Disaster Recovery
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
Ensure regular backups are completed and tested for reliability
Respond to data recovery requests and ensure data integrity

User Support and Training
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users
Assist with hardware and software issues
Train users on system usage and best practices

Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and changes
Generate reports on system performance and security status

Continuous Improvement
Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades
Research and implement new technologies to enhance system performance

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience
2-3 years of experience in system administration or a similar role

Technical Skills
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS)
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and tools
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks

Work Environment
Office-based with occasional remote support requirements
May require availability during weekends or after-hours for emergencies or maintenance tasks
