Develop concept and detailed design for fire protection systems including, sprinkler
systems, standpipe systems, and fire pumps using Revit and AutoCAD.
Perform various tasks using Navisworks for coordination of design and clash detection.
Identify hazard classification and perform system hydraulic calculations for pipe sizing
and pump selection, using hydraulic calculation software such as SprinkCAD and
HydraCAD.
Prepare finished drawing packages for permits and construction using AutoCad and
Revit.
Research applicable codes and standards for coverage requirements and design
criteria selection.
Work with project senior engineers to execute design and specifications.
Experience in Special Hazard systems including foam and gas systems is considered
an asset.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Engineering Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience in the mechanical field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the engineering field with a at least 2 years of fire
protection experience.
Working knowledge Fire Codes and NFPA standards.
Strong AutoCAD and REVIT design skills a must.
