Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical consultation and evaluation during medical equipment procurement.

2. Management of maintenance contracts.

3. Develop and implement a universal hospital equipment plan.

4. Perform and plan preventive maintenance and calibration schedule for all biomedical

equipment for all hospital departments.

5. Train staff to use equipment safely.

6. Develop and apply all required equipment labels as preventive maintenance, out of

service labels and electrical safety labels.

7. Review medical equipment recalls and take appropriate actions to ensure the affected

equipment is tested or removed from service, where appropriate.

8. Contact and monitor all outside suppliers, providing service to the hospital.

9. Comply with the hospital infection control guidelines.

10. Develop and update medical equipment inventory.

11. Performs regular daily report about hospital equipment problems.

12. Available for domestic, Regional, and International travel.
