Tendering Engineer
Responsible for preparing exceptional quality tender submissions, tailored as per the client’s requirements, producing the best possible chance for (company name) to secure the bid and suggesting possible alternative.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
1. Execution and fulfillment of the Tendering bids targets.
2. Prepare and submit exceptional tender (commercial & technical) proposals ahead of deadlines:
- Responsible to provide the best and accurate pricing for various projects.
- Coordinate and manage formal responses to RFP’s, RFQ’s, and RFI’s… etc.
- Analyze and read tender documents (Drawings, ID, BOQs, specs …etc).
- Assess and provide value engineering alternatives and recommendations.
- Review and seek approval for price exceptions and discounts.
3. Meet with client/consultant discussing technical issues, required material specifications, and alternatives proposed during the tender stage.
4. Submit samples as per tender procedure.
5. Communicate with Supply Chain for materials availability and lead times are incorporated into the Tender.
6. Proactive follow up on submitted tenders.
7. Handover awarded tenders to the Projects & Accounting teams maintaining continuity to enable these teams to identify all issues needed to securely supply stone with expected financial performance.
8. Communicate with Projects Team for variation orders to ensure that new items are identified.
9. Obtain information and feedback from clients for unsuccessful tenders.
10. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
11. File and archive project documents efficiently, document cost reduction strategies, lessons learned for continuous learning and improvement.
PREREQUISITES & EXPERIENCE
• Electrical Engineer.
• 5:10 years of experience.
• Attention to detail and meticulous
• Strong analytical, administrative and time management skills.
• Excellent command of English language (speaking, reading and writing).
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) and AutoCad.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to learn.
• Must have previous experience in Saudi Arabia.
