Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Odoo Techno-Functional Consultant to lead and contribute to the development, customization, and implementation of our Odoo applications. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of the Odoo platform and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Odoo development and functional consulting. The candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Odoo implementations and ensuring we leverage the best of technology to meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
● Implementation & Customization
○ Lead the implementation of Odoo ERP modules across various business domains (e.g., Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, HR).
○ Customize Odoo applications and reports according to business requirements.
○ Innovate and implement necessary changes in the development process to enhance overall software quality.
● Technical Development
○ Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules and integrations with third-party applications.
○ Perform server configuration and deployment for Odoo environments.
○ Address complex performance issues and architectural challenges to optimize our Odoo applications.
● Functional Analysis
○ Conduct thorough analysis of client business processes and requirements.
○ Provide functional expertise and recommendations on best practices in Odoo usage.
○ Document business processes, workflows, and system configurations.
● Client Support & Training
○ Offer technical and functional support to end-users.
○ Develop and deliver training sessions for clients on Odoo functionalities and customizations.
○ Assist clients in data migration and system go-live activities.
● Project Management
○ Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure timely and successful delivery of Odoo projects.
○ Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, timelines, and progress reports.
Roles & Activities
● Design and develop Odoo applications, focusing on new module development and customization.
● Analyze project scope documents and collaborate with various teams to craft detailed technical requirements.
● Adhere to the best software development practices to ensure code readability and maintainability.
● Utilize existing Odoo features and develop custom modules to meet specific business needs.
● Maintain rigorous version control and source code management with Git.
● Develop secure software solutions and maintain high standards in software quality.
Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
● At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Odoo development and functional consulting.
● Proficient in Python, with a solid understanding of Odoo's core functionalities and data models.
● Expertise in developing custom modules in Odoo and upgrading Odoo versions.
● Comprehensive knowledge of Odoo’s major features like Sales, Purchase, CRM, Accounts, Inventory, Projects, Timesheet, and HR.
● Skilled in front-end technologies including XML, JavaScript, and Q-Web for Odoo.
● Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL querying.
● Experience with Linux-based systems, HTML, CSS, and using Odoo.sh hosting.
● Demonstrable track record of developing enterprise-level applications and excellent debugging skills in Odoo.
