- Develop/update the general policies and the related SOPs for the department/function and get the management approval
- Develop the annual business/functional strategies and the related implementation guidelines for the department/function and get the management approval
- Develop - in collaboration with the HC department - the strategic human capital plan that includes the required jobs, numbers, qualifications, assessment protocols, C&B and hiring process for both new hires and promotion and get the management approval
- To monitor and participate in the recruitment and selection process within the boundaries of the given responsibility, accountability and authority
- To furnish, deploy and allocate all the resources (systems, tools, equipment, training, etc.) required by the subordinates to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently
- To monitor the proper execution of the subordinates' tasks and take all the necessary corrective and preventive measures in case of deviation from the pre-set standards
- To lead the subordinates on a day to day basis through direction, motivation and coaching
- To set the annual performance management standards (tasks, competencies, KPIs & KRIs) and discuss them with each subordinate and agree about how you will assess their achievements
