Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician
Reports to: Laboratory Manager or Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of test results.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Testing: Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood typing, blood chemistry, and microbiology.
2. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including microscopes, analyzers, and centrifuges.
3. Quality Control: Participate in quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and precision of test results.
4. Specimen Handling: Collect, process, and store specimens according to laboratory protocols.
5. Data Entry: Record and enter test results into laboratory information systems.
6. Safety Protocols: Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:
1. Education: Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
2. Certification: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent.
3. Experience: Previous experience in a laboratory setting is an asset.
4. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:
1. Working Environment: Laboratory setting with exposure to biohazardous materials and chemicals.
2. Work Schedule: May include shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
